About Kenya...

map of KenyaKenya is rightfully revered to by anthropologists as the 'Cradle of Mankind'.
But it is Kenya's natural beauty and abundance
in wildlife as well as her diverse cultural background that has captured the
attention of adventure seekers.

Kenya boasts magnificent wildlife parks, stretches of unsullied beaches,vibrant coral reefs
and breathtaking mountain landscapes.
The ancient towns of Mombasa, Malindi and Lamu stand as testimony of Kenya's rich history.

The internationally recognised word - Safari - which represents adventure travel and game
watching has its origins in Kenya.

The magnificent Masai Mara, home of the annual
Wildebeest migration was recently crowned the world's 7th Wonder, properly positioning
Kenya as a tourist destination of international repute.


Parks.

Kenya has numerous wildlife parks, each with very distinct Flora and Fauna and swarming with different types of wildlife.
These parks are well maintained and most are conserved by the Kenya Wildlife Services with a few by the Local Councils.

Within the parks are numerous accommodation options ranging from budget camp site, luxury tented camps,
to luxury lodges and tree hotels

Some of Kenya's most notable parks include:-

The Aberdares National Park

This forms part of the Aberdares mountain ranges and according to popular Kikuyu folklore are the home of God.
The mountain ranges have peaks as high as 13000ft and form v shaped valleys with rivers and streams that give way
to spectacular water falls.

Amboseli National Park

Amboseli national park is situated at the Kenya/Tanzania border. The park offers a clear view of Africa's highest free
standing mountain-The Kilimanjaro. The park has a notable concentration of elephants (approximately 900)

L.Nakuru National Park

Lake Nakuru National Park Lies 155kms North West of Nairobi. The lake has become world famous for it's massive
flocks of Flamingo which gather here to feed on the algae which thrives in the lakes alkaline waters.

Masai Mara

Masai Mara is perhaps Kenya's most visited park. The park has a heavy concentration of wildlife all the year round
and is home of what has come to be considered the world's greatest wildlife spectacle

Mount Kenya National Park

Mount Kenya National Park lies approx 140 km north - east of Nairobi, its main dominating landscape
feature is Mount Kenya an extinct volcano

Tsavo East Natonal Park

Tsavo East and Tsavo West combine to form the largest of all the National Parks and Game reserves. Tsavo
East is known for its red soil which gives the elephants here the appearance of being red

Tsavo West National Park

Tsavo West National Park is separated only by the Mombasa/Nairobi road from Tsavo East, and is part of the
entire Tsavo eco-system. Tsavo west also borders the Serengeti plains in Tanzania
